The video With(out) Azolla offer a critical perspective on plants that are highlighted as potential saviors against climate change, such as Azolla, which is promoted for its ability to absorb carbon emissions. Fundamentally, the climate crisis is a reflection of our own choices and behaviors. Relying on other living beings without rethinking the system feels like an endless loop of destruction. In dialogue with a proposal to grow Azolla near Eindhoven airport, the project suggests a communication campaign to be displayed inside the airport, encouraging reflection on our way of living and inviting collective action to build a more sensitive and caring future for the planet.
La vidéo With(Out) Azolla offre une perspective critique sur les plantes mises en avant comme des sauveurs potentiels face au changement climatique, telles que l’Azolla, promue pour sa capacité à absorber les émissions de carbone. Fondamentalement, la crise climatique est le reflet de nos propre choix et comportements. Compter sur d’autre être vivant sans repenser le système ressemble à une boucle infinie de destruction. En dialogue avec une proposition de cultiver l’Azolla près de l’aéroport de Eindhoven, le projet suggère une campagne de communication à afficher à l’intérieur de l’aéroport, encourageant une réflexion sur notre mode de vie et invitant à une action collective pour construire un avenir plus sensible et bienveillant pour la planète.
